HMS Victory's mast climb - London Boat Show - Over 1200 Visitors climbed it in 10 days.

Visitors to this year’s Tullett Prebon London Boat Show got the chance to climb one of the masts from HMS Victory in Portsmouth.

Specialist company Bell Rigging has won a major contract to repair and restore parts of Nelson’s flagship. It’s brought some of the original timbers to the show to publicise the work.

It was a huge sucesss and over 1200 show visitors attempted to climb the actual foretopmast of HMS Victory and ring a bell.

Rock and Ice worked in association with Ian Bell to provide technical expertise and insurance to cover the event.
